Top 5 reasons IBM is pissed off

Let’s face it, IBM is the Microsoft of the Java world. They love to embrace and change everything so that it no longer plays nicely with anything else. Just take a look at WebSphere if you need any proof. First it requires you to run on their JVM yet it doesn’t do anything special in return for that requirement. For example, back in the day Gemstone required a special JVM but they gave you special features in return.

If IBM would focus more on making a better product instead of trying to get Sun to bend to their will, perhaps they wouldn’t NEED Sun to bend to their will.
