Reboot your toaster

Who knows where they got it.

Microsoft is apparently taking their surface computing concept into the kitchen. My only question to the Vista-powered toaster or fridge is where will the ctrl-alt-delete keys be located?

This really gives the concept of ‘task manager’ a whole new meaning doesn’t it? Or when you upgrade do you now have to throw out the kitchen sink?

I’m really not sure what real benefit this provides. I mean seriously do you really want to network your toaster to your file server to your printer?

However, what would be cool is to be able to log into your home network remotely, and check the fridge to see what was in it for shopping purposes. Of course this would require the use of RFID tags or something equivalent, but that might actually be useful.
