Randy Couture whips Tim Silvia for the UFC title
In a totally dominating fight, Randy Couture comes out of retirement at age 43 and completely kicks Tim Silvia’s ass to take the UFC heavyweight title.
The First Shot
The opening move truly set the pace when Randy fakes a kick and caught Tim on the jaw with a right hand that put Tim on the mat. To continue the pace, Randy even got the better of the stand up fight every round, and Tim had a 12 inch reach and 6 inch height advantage as well. It was completely unexpected and made for an incredible performance.
Dominating the Ground
What was really shocking though was that Tim has good take-down defense and yet Randy was took him to the ground on every round and in some rounds more than once. Randy just took total control of the fight, from the stand up to ground and pound. It was an amazing fight.
Congratulations to Randy Couture, what a fight it was!
