Now that is what I call high end. As reported in TechCrunch, Mercedes has a 6 month exclusive right to use an Apple designed communication and navigation system to start in 2009.

While you can pretty much expect an iPod port, what would be really cool would be to start your car remotely by your iPhone, then have the car call you when say the temperature is nice and cool (or toasty). Such remote starting systems have been available for many years, but that would be nice and seamless. They could even step up with a anti-theft system that tells you where the car is and where it is heading, much like LoJack or other such systems.

Should be interesting.
