A good game finally
Last night my wife went to Green Valley Ranch and while she played a little video poker I sat in on a 4-8 limit game. After about an hour I ended up with one big hand where I flopped trip aces and turned a full house. Naturally the guy to my left had the same full house. We ended up splitting the third guy’s money. We though he was chasing a flush. After all that I ended up $2, oh boy.
We then went to South Coast and while I really wanted to go to the Ventian to play a bigger limit game, my wife wanted to hit ht VP again so I went and sat at the 1-2 no limit game. This one turned out quite a bit different. In just over an hour or so I was up to $600 on my $100 buyin. It isn’t too often one gets such a run at a small table like this, but I was quite happy to say the least.
I felt I played well, making some good reads mostly. Usually my biggest nights come when I get a lot of trips, which seem to be my big money maker in the no limit games. This night was different though, I didn’t get any really lucky hands or river flushes or that kind of thing. I just played well. Not perfect but well. We’ll see if it continues.
